UI/UX Design
Brand identity, product design, and design systems built to ship. We design with the engineers who'll build it — so the work that lives in Figma is the work that lives in production.

What We Deliver
Design That Ships.
Brand identity, marketing site design, product UX, mobile app design, and the design systems that scale all of it. We work in Figma, we test with real users, and we hand off in a way that respects the engineers who have to build what we drew. Design that wins awards but never ships is design that didn't matter — we measure ourselves by what made it into production.
The gap between a beautiful Figma file and shipped software is where most design work dies. Components that the dev team rebuilds from scratch. Interactions that get value-engineered out. Brand decisions that erode through implementation. We close that gap deliberately — design systems built with engineering, component libraries that map to the actual stack, and a handoff process where designers and developers ship the same product together.

Who We Build For
Built For Teams Who Actually Want Their Design To Ship.
Brand + Marketing Design
Visual identity systems, marketing sites, campaign creative, and the design language that makes a company look like a company. Brand work that pairs cleanly with the engineering team that's going to implement it.
Product + App Design
SaaS interfaces, mobile app design, complex web applications, and admin tools — the design work where usability decisions affect retention and the wrong interaction model creates a year of support tickets.
Design Systems + DesignOps
Component libraries, design token systems, Figma-to-code pipelines, and the design system maintenance that lets growing teams ship consistent product without bottlenecking through one senior designer.
How We Work
From Kickoff To First Design Output In 14 Days.
- 01
Day 1
Discovery + research
We learn your business, your audience, your competitive set, and the brand or product goals the design has to serve. Where useful, we run user interviews or usability tests to ground the work in real user behavior — not assumptions.
- 02
Day 4
Direction + wireframes
We map information architecture, wireframes, and visual direction (mood, type, color, motion) — and align with the team that's going to build it. Engineering enters the conversation early so design decisions don't get value-engineered out later.
- 03
Day 7
Detailed proposal
A 12–20 page document with scope, timeline, pricing, design direction, deliverable list, and the standards we'll hold the work to (accessibility, design system rigor, handoff completeness). Even if you don't move forward, it's a high-value strategic asset.
- 04
Day 14
Kickoff + first design output
First high-fidelity screens in Figma, first brand exploration, or first design system foundations live in your team's workspace. We ship by Day 14 — no extended discovery loop before real design appears.
How You Engage
Pick The Engagement That Fits Your Design Work.
Fixed Scope
Full-service team: senior designer + brand or product lead + researcher (when scope warrants) + PM. We manage end-to-end against a defined deliverable list and budget.
Learn moreManaged Retainer
Dedicated product designer at 20 or 40 hours/week, IDT-managed. The natural fit for in-house product teams that need continuous design capacity — new features, iteration, design system maintenance — without hiring full-time.
Learn moreBrand identity, marketing site design, and discrete projects work best as Fixed Scope. In-house product teams shipping continuously usually fit a Managed Retainer better — design happens at the cadence of the product, not in one big sprint.
Common Questions
Frequently Asked About UI/UX Design.
UX (user experience) is how the product works — information architecture, user flows, interaction patterns, decisions about what the product does and how. UI (user interface) is how it looks — typography, color, layout, components, motion. Strong work needs both, and the gap between them is where most design fails. We do both because separating them is how products end up beautiful but unusable, or functional but indistinguishable.
Brand identity system: $15K–40K. Marketing site design (10–20 pages): $20K–50K. Product / SaaS design (MVP through launch): $40K–120K. Comprehensive design system: $30K–80K. Pricing depends on scope, research depth, and whether implementation handoff is part of the engagement. We give a fixed-scope proposal within 7 days of discovery.
Yes, when the project warrants it. User interviews, usability testing (moderated and unmoderated via Maze or Lookback), competitive analysis, journey mapping, and analytics review. For brand or marketing work, research is lighter. For product design, research grounds the work in real user behavior — and we'll push back if a stakeholder wants us to skip it on a project that needs it.
Yes. Component libraries in Figma, design tokens, documentation, and the Storybook integration that connects design to code. Design systems are where design pays for itself at scale — a 50-component system means the next 50 features ship faster without inconsistency creep. We build them at the size that fits the team, not bloated for the sake of it.
Yes. Redesigns are a meaningful portion of our work. The first step is always an audit — current product, user feedback, analytics, conversion data — so the redesign solves real problems instead of just refreshing visuals. Redesigns done blind tend to lose what was working. Done right, they compound on the existing product's strengths and fix the friction.
Figma files structured for engineering consumption — proper components, auto-layout, named tokens for color and typography, dev mode enabled with inspect-ready specs. When we build a design system, we hand off a Storybook implementation paired with the Figma library so design and code stay in sync. Handoff isn't a moment — it's a process we engineer into the work from day one.
Yes. When we're doing design only and another team is building, we collaborate with their engineers throughout — not just at handoff. When IDT is doing both design and engineering, designers and developers sit in the same pod, ship to the same Linear board, and review each other's work. Design that ships requires that loop.
Yes. Logo design, type systems, color palettes, voice and tone guidelines, brand applications, and the documentation that lets the rest of the company use the brand consistently. We approach brand as a system — not a one-off logo deliverable — so the work scales as the company grows.
Accessibility is baked into every design we ship — WCAG 2.1 AA as the baseline, AAA when the audience requires it. Color contrast, keyboard navigation, screen reader support, semantic structure, focus states, and alt text strategy are part of the work, not bolted on. Accessibility is the right thing to do, reduces ADA legal exposure, and forces better design discipline.
